Hokkaido, an island located in the north
most of the Japanese archipelago elongated
from north to south.
Hokkaido is blessed with the beautiful
nature. Virgin forest and alpine plants
spread to the majestic mountain, and vast

scape like northern Hokkaido.

In 2005, in the east of Hokkaido "Shiretoko"
was registered as a World Natural Heritage
Site which is the third in Japan.

Hokkaido takes an active part in agriculture, and it is called that the food supply base in Japan, moreover, Hokkaido
is making sweets which is used local ingredients in recent years.
In addition, a natural environment in Hokkaido is excellent in the world. Region facing the Sea of Okhotsk and the
Pacific Ocean has become a treasure trove of fishery resources.
Recently, exportation foods of Hokkaido which were born in the best environment to East Asia are increasingly
active, and Hokkaido product exhibition is also held in various places, it has been well received.

In recent years, fresh food of Hokkaido has been focused
in safety, and the freshness in the Asian countries. For
example, salmon, crab, Atka mackerel, asparagus, and
dairy products are popular as "Hokkaido brand". Howev-
er, be introduced directly into the Asian countries fre-
quently from Japanese buyers is difficult, so foreign
buyers are hard to know the information about the fresh

pealing point, and food allergy. Further more, this site has clear product images and product movies which tell us at-
tractive point of the products.
It is based on the database, for example products name, manufacture name, appealing point, raw materials, food al-
lergy, content weight, package size, retail price, freshness date, product images, moreover, we are thinking of con-
taining useful contents to this site, such as explanation about better ways to eating products, and the raw materials
for differences in food culture.

Further more, we intend to make package proposals as a set and set up web link in every product pages to related
product pages and feature product pages as hints about recipes and new way to practical use using products which
this site treat. These will be better services for foreign buyers.

Problem about transportation is mentioned well. However, we can suggestions to efficient transportation, because we
have tied up with the major transfer company. We intend to build logistics to send product of Hokkaido with fresh
condition to many areas even if refrigerated transporting is difficult.

We are thinking of Setting up not only but information about products also providing information and marketing research. It can
be simply because it is there to connect the buyers and manufacturers.
We hear opinions about the products from consumers, and give the opinions to manufacturer. Ideas of new products are come up
from the opinions, and the products which consumers need are put on the selling area. These things make a model like a cycle
and we aim at it.

This database system is for buyers only now, however, we have a plan to develop this system for consumers.
